What to expect

I practice in a calm and welcoming studio where I am the only therapist. This also allows me to get to know you, and to make sure your massage is truly personalized to your needs!

Before your massage

On scheduling your massage you'll receive a confirmation email with an online (HIPAA compliant) health form to complete. Your clear and honest answers will enable me to give the massage that is best for you.

When you arrive, we will talk further so I can get a real understanding of what you hope to gain from the massage.

I will then leave you to undress to "your level of comfort." This generally means whether you remove underwear or leave it on, which is entirely up to you. During the massage you will be under a sheet and blanket, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. If you prefer to keep more of your clothing on, that is fine too—just let me know.

Communication during your massage is important too. Some techniques require sinking into deeper layers of tissue, so I will be checking in with you to make sure you are comfortable. Of course, I want you to feel free to ask questions or let me know if you have any concerns!

The products I use are simple and natural, but please let me know of any allergies or scent preferences before the massage.

Payment

I accept cash, check or Venmo for payment.

I don't bill insurance, but can provide a receipt for you to submit for possible reimbursement. If you plan to do so, I would recommend checking with your insurance provider to find out whether this is an option before you come for a massage.

Cancellations and rescheduling

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give a minimum of 24 hours notice so I can offer the time to another client.

Emergencies

I understand that illness and other emergencies come up unexpectedly, but I ask that you contact me as soon as possible to inform me of the situation.
